3/12/2017 0 Comments Through the CocalToday's Adventure takes us to the East Cost of Trinidad through The Cocal. This 24km wonder stretch is a sight to see. The Manzanilla- Mayaro road is home to The Cocal, a Coconut plantation lining the stretch. On one side of the road you have the Beach and the other side you have the wetlands of the Swamp. Taking an afternoon drive with the family to the beach, windows down, sun roof open, taking in the ocean breeze and sounds of the waves as we drive through this marvel. The Coconut trees all towering and dancing in the wind, the definition of a Tropical paradise. Along the way, you cross the Nariva River which makes a wonderful stop off point to take in the picturesque views and also a popular fishing and swimming spot. At the end of The Cocal, you enter into the village of Mayaro which has a beautiful stretch of beach perfect for relaxing walks and for the kids to play.
