10/29/2017 0 Comments Hootd- resort wearWhen taking an island vacation, cute cover ups are a definite must have. These bright, breezy pieces give that effortless look to an outfit. You can wear a basic solid color top and pair of pants and throw on a cover up over it and it instantly transforms into a chic elegant look. I chose to stick with a basic black inner top and pair of pants and layered it with this fun colorful floral cover up.
Paired it with a belt, olive scarf and pair of cute flip flops.

10/22/2017 1 Comment Glass bottom boat tour- tobagoA quick 20 minute plane ride from Trinidad, you arrive at our Sister isle of Tobago. A contrast to Trinidad, it is a more relaxed, layed back vibe as you really experience the feeling of island life there. Its Bluish green turquoise waters are captivating and everywhere you look is a postcard worthy view. Our family adventure today took us to Pigeon Point to experience a Glass Bottom Boat Tour. We booked with the boat 'Soca Queen' which offered to take us out to 4 spots: Buccoo Reef, Coral Gardens, Nylon Pool and No Man's Land. It is typically about a 2 hour tour and enjoyable for all ages. Life jackets are provided on board for all passengers. They also have snorkel equipment on board for those who want to dive in and explore the waters. The boats, as the name imply, have a 'glass bottom' so that you can see underneath, into the water. The water is so clear that you are able to see the corals and fishes below. The tour guide was sure to point out the different types of Coral and fishes that we saw. ![]() Nylon Pool We then anchored at Nylon Pool which is one of the most beautiful spots I've been too. It is an area in the ocean where it is shallow enough for you to walk. You can literally swim in the middle of the ocean. We were then off to No Man's Land, a secluded beach only accessible by boat. While we were exploring No Man's Land, one of the tour guides found a Star fish on the shore and bought it over for me to see before he released it safely back into the water. It was such a surreal moment actually seeing such an amazing creature in real!! It was then time to head back to the boat and back to shore.
What a wonderful experience this was, would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Tobago. 10/15/2017 0 Comments a day at the beach- hootdIt's the weekend!! and we were off to the beach for some sun, sea and relaxation. I picked up this cute turquoise pineapple print dress recently and thought it would be nice for a day at the beach. Paired it with some white pants and added a purple scarf for some color blocking fun. I absolutely loved the color combination of this look <3 10/8/2017 0 Comments A night at the theatreTonight we were off to The National Academy for Performing Arts (NAPA) to enjoy the play Aladdin and the Bollywood Princess by the renowned Crazy Catholic, DC Shell Theatre and Cindon Productions. Since my childhood days growing up, my parents would carry my siblings and I to enjoy these local plays. From Fairy Tales such as Cinderella & Little Mermaid to Huge Bollywood numbers like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kal Ho Naa Ho, the past 33 years they have been providing clean Family entertainment. Their scripts are cleverly written keeping the true essence of the respective story line while mixing it with our Trini comedy. Their plays are sure to have you laughing off your seats!! We sure did :) Recording or photography was not permitted during the show, but you can check it out for yourself at the last show this Afternoon at 5pm. 10/1/2017 0 Comments hootd- breakfast limeIt was my fav pair of twins birthday weekend and I was off to a Breakfast lime with the Girls.
I decided to wear a Maxi Skirt and picked out some of the colors from it to accessorize with. I love wearing Maxi Skirts, they are super comfortable and such great statement pieces. Very easy to style, I wore it with a plain black long sleeved top. Chose a Cream Hijab and finished out the look with a burgundy belt. |
