3/26/2017 0 Comments exploring the Green marketNestled in the lush Santa Cruz valley, this is a definite one of a kind market experience here in Trinidad. With its focus on environmental protection and encouraging healthy eating and life choices, the setting speaks for itself. The eco-friendly market was built in a way that allows visitors to truly appreciate the beauty of the nautral setting as you enjoy the flora and fauna as you stroll through. It hosts various vendors each weekend as they showcase the diversity of our Island's Food as well as fresh Produce and Arts & Crafts of Local Artisans. Great for a Sunday morning relaxing Breakfast spot with the family, shopping for your local fresh produce, taking visiting Friends & Family members, it is a must stop for all, as it is sure to have something everyone will love. Put on your sun screen, walk with your reusable bags and head on down to this gem of a spot which I'm sure will not disappoint and will leave you with a greater appreciation for a greener lifestyle.

3/19/2017 0 Comments Casual OOTDWhether it is a Day 'Out and About' with the Family or a lime with the girls, a cute option for an outfit is the High-Low styled dresses. These are really flowy and comfortable and you can dress them up or down for a more casual look. Pair it with some trousers or jeans and some simple accesorises and you are all set. Here, I chose a light wash pair of jeans and some tan accessories.
Tan accessories tied the look all together. 3/12/2017 0 Comments Through the CocalToday's Adventure takes us to the East Cost of Trinidad through The Cocal. This 24km wonder stretch is a sight to see. The Manzanilla- Mayaro road is home to The Cocal, a Coconut plantation lining the stretch. On one side of the road you have the Beach and the other side you have the wetlands of the Swamp. Taking an afternoon drive with the family to the beach, windows down, sun roof open, taking in the ocean breeze and sounds of the waves as we drive through this marvel. The Coconut trees all towering and dancing in the wind, the definition of a Tropical paradise. Along the way, you cross the Nariva River which makes a wonderful stop off point to take in the picturesque views and also a popular fishing and swimming spot. At the end of The Cocal, you enter into the village of Mayaro which has a beautiful stretch of beach perfect for relaxing walks and for the kids to play.
3/5/2017 0 Comments Polka Dots <3An easy way to add a fun statement piece to your closet is to invest in a few Polka Dot items. For me today, I chose a cute Polka Dot Long vest top. I particularly love these type of Long Vest/ Dress which we Hijabis can rock as Tops. Great option for a Casual 'Out and About' look, it's a very easy piece to style. I went simple with a Black inner long sleeved top and Black pair of Jeans. Decided to add a pop of color with a Mauve Hijab while Silver Accessories finished off the look. For makeup look I stuck with the purpley-mauve tones. Added a bit of Glitter for some extra sparkle. |
