It was Family adventure time again and Today's Road trip took us to the North Coast of Trinidad. When one thinks of the North Coast, Beaches like Maracas, Las Cuevas and Blanchisseuse are the most common ones to come to mind. We took the winding road overlooking the sea, passed Maracas & Las Cuevas and found this gem of a spot in La Fillette. La Fillette is a small fishing village along the North Coast. It has spectacular views of the mountains along the Coast with clear waters. It definitely is worth the drive for their picturesque postcard views as you lay back and enjoy the pristine beauty of our Island. We ventured down to the actual beach which was a pretty steep walk down from the road. It is a very small cosy beach mainly populated by the Locals and fishermen of the area.
The beach does not have a huge shore, but when the tide is low, there is enough space for families to enjoy playing on the sand and lounging. Huge Steep Cliffs bound the back of the beach and add to that majestic feel and beauty of this serene spot.
