4/29/2018 0 Comments Maxi must haveWith Ramadhan just around the corner, the search for cute dresses for all those Iftaar Dinners and Eid is on! I personally love a good long sleeved maxi dress and think that they are staples in any Hijabi's closet. Today I will be featuring this gorgeous piece from Louella by Ibtihaj Muhammad. They offer a wide range of both patterned and solid colors, perfect for building your modest wadrobe. My choice today was this cute floral number.
The print is soo pretty in person, pictures do not do it justice <3 Very easy to style, I paired it with a cream Hijab and belt. And there you have it, a very comfy and cute outfit.

4/15/2018 0 Comments Dinner HOOTNFor tonight's dinner look I decided to switch things up a bit. Rather than choosing my typical style of wearing a maxi dress or skirt, I opted for this chic ensemble. I took two basic pieces, a plain black top and black pair of trousers, and dressed it up with a duster cardigan. Glammed it up with a silver statement necklace and pair of black heels. I absolutely loved how this outfit turned out <3 Hijab: Vela

It's a time to dress up and enjoy some yummy food, enjoying the laid back weekend vibes. I chose this cute floral number for my look. The print was such a delicate feminine one with the blush pink flowers. I paired it with a white inner and a blush hijab. Some white wedged heels and a blush belt finished off the look. Hijab: Silks

This corner of the island is a serene area with calm beaches, nature trails, sailing and fun family activities. The Five Island Amusement Park is a treat for all family members. With the water park still under construction, this park is said to be the largest in the Southern Caribbean when completed. Our first choice in the rides was the Go Carts. Hubby and the boys were all geared up to race on the tracks. It really was an adrenaline rush making those laps on the race track. Totally fun and a lil family competition seeing who can finish first. Next it was time for some 'Ice skating' here in the Caribbean lol. It took us a little while to get our balance but after some tries we were able to comfortably move around on the rink. Such a unique experience and I definitely can't wait to try real ice skating one day. There is also this awesome Surf simulator where you can enjoy riding the waves. Be sure to walk with your swim wear and towel in order to do this ride. The Dragon fly air racer is for those adventure seekers who don't mind being buckled in and taken on an acrobatic ride of loops, flips and spins in the sky. I definitely skipped out of this one *shame face* Back inside now it was time for the Rope Course. Suspended in the air over the arcade, you strap into a harness and balance your way through a rope course. I was soo proud of my big boy for doing the course with hubby <3 Purchase your special trampoline socks and get ready to jump HIGH!
This was such fun and a good workout too lol We had such a wonderful time at the Amusement park and I would highly recommend it for a family outing. Cant wait for the entire park to be completed to enjoy more!! 2/18/2018 0 Comments Dinner date lookHubby and I were off to a double date night with our friends and it was time for me to decide what to wear. Going through my closet, I found this Midi Skirt that I purchased a while back but never got around to wearing it as yet. Being a hijabi meant that I had to be a bit creative to make this Midi Skirt work for me as I need to layer it to add some more coverage. The skirt was a cute whimsical floral embroidery pattern which I decided to pair with a plain long sleeved top and some black leggings. I added a black bow belt and accessorized with a pink hijab, handbag and sandals. I absolutely loved how the look turned out <3 Top: Visions

I like to stick to an outfit that is easy to put together as I am definitely not a morning person *shame face* A simple maxi dress would be my first choice, and I picked this cute patterned one for today. Wore a white inner top for some added coverage and accessorised with some lilac touches. I loved how this look turned out and the colour combinations in this dress <3 Dress: Ardene

Nestled in the lush tropical forest is this enchanting spot, North Deck. Approximately 1800ft above sea level, you are perched up on this magnificent structure in the mountain side overlooking the ocean. The views of the north cost are nothing short but spectacular! The construction of the platform itself is amazing!! Special consideration was made to build around the towering trees as is evident in cut out holes throughout the structure to accommodate them. This gives it a more authentic feel of actually being in the mountains and surrounded by the trees and bushes. The venue is ideal for weddings and other functions & retreats.
It is also great for avid nature lovers as it is the perfect spot to do some bird watching and enjoying the flora & fauna of the north coast. Take an early morning or evening drive up to the north coast and enjoy some tea and coffee with an extraordinary view with the family. It is definitely worth the drive! 1/21/2018 0 Comments All black lookToday's look is a casual all black look.
You can add some pizzazz to an all black look by playing around with your accessories. You can either add some color blocking fun using solid colors, or add in a colourful print. I chose to liven up my look by incorporating a fun patterned scarf. 1/14/2018 0 Comments shirt dressesWhen it comes to pieces of clothing in my closet that I consider very versatile, long buttoned down shirt dresses have to be on my top list. These pieces can be styled up or down depending on the occasion and can be found in solid colors as well as beautiful prints. How you choose to style it is when you see the versatility in these pieces. You can wear it buttoned all the way down and belted at the waist, a cute maxi dress look. You also have the option of layering it over an outfit, leaving all the buttons undone and styling it as a maxi cardigan. Or, you have the style I opted for, pairing it with a pair of pants and buttoning the shirt dress half way down giving it a chic look. The shirt dresses I chose today was this bright bold floral print one. With such a bold pattern, I decided to stick with white accessories to balance out the look. I love how it turned out <3 Shirt dress: Neva Style TT
